COME SEE WHAT IT MEANS TO BE PART OF AN “OCEAN CITY”
The Delray Beach Historical Society is showing “Treasures of the Sea’ in the Archives Room at Old School Square’s Cornell Museum, 51 North Swinton Avenue through August 30th. You will see vintage photos and post cards, artifacts, DVD’s, beach coming collections and other items. This show is being held along with the museum’s exhibit, “Paintings beneath the Sea,” by Jason Mathias. The DBHS website (www.db-hs.org) says, “Throughout the years the sea has provided humans with untold treasures. The people of Delray Beach have always valued their proximity to the sea and it has been a strong part of the identity of our city.” Tuesday through Friday, 10 am to 4 pm. For more info call 561-243-2577 or email dbhs@bellsouth.net.
